ULTRA SUPPORT POLICIES

  1. New clients are limited to 30 days of free technical support.

  2. Existing users are limited to 15 days of free technical support after the purchase of a Major Software Upgrade, which is an upgrade that a user buys (as opposed to free upgrades we often release).

  3. Free technical support periods begin on the date of the first installation of the software as long as that date is within 90 days of the shipment date of the software. ("Shipment" usually consists of an email containing download instructions.)

  4. During our period of transition to the 32-bit environment, and then to the ULTRA 11 release, a free technical support period will begin for each client on the date of the first installation of an ULTRA 10.32 version. Secondly, a free technical support period will begin for each client on the date of the first installation of an ULTRA 11 version.

  5. The date of first installation is available from ULTRA's HELP + ABOUT menu item on the computer that the version was first installed.

  6. All questions and requests for support of any kind must begin by sending a message from the SUPPORT PAGE at http://www.ultrafs.com. This page is accessible via Ultra's SUPPORT menu, or by clicking any link on the ULTRA website that is labeled as SUPPORT.

  7. After the free technical support period expires, support requests will be handled on a per hour basis. Details are available at PAID SUPPORT .

  8. We intend to implement changes to the ULTRA software and website periodically that will significantly reduce all of our clients need for Technical Support.

    One simple example is:

    The most recent Authorization Code (AC) that a user has entered into the ULTRA program is now available via the HELP + ABOUT menu item. This should eliminate a common support request for a new AC when clients move ULTRA to a new computer.

  9. These changes will allow us to improve our phone coverage, hire additional staff, take and return telephone messages, etc, in the near future. (Details will be released as they become available.)
